FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY FIRST MASSAGE TREATMENT

You will be asked to fill out a health history form, that you would have to sign to be able to proceed with the treatment. Then asked what treatment you would like, depending on the decided treatment, an assessment and testing is evaluated and analysed to see how to proceed and determine which techniques and massage is best suited for your body.

Your privacy and dignity is respected at all times.

It is important that you list down all your health concerns and medication

WHAT DO I HAVE TO WEAR

The therapist will leave the room whist you get change, you will be asked to undressed to the level you feel comfortable, if you feel uncomfortable, nervous and unable to relax during the treatment you can leave your underwear on and the therapist can work around your underwear.

Try not to worry as you will be covered with a towel at all times during your treatment, your genitals and breast will not be uncovered and an extra towel will be used to cover up the breast if you want your abdominal massaged.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT LAST

The average full body treatment lasts for 1hr, a 30min treatment will only be able to do a partial part of the body. such as neck, back and shoulder.

It is advisable to have a 90mins or 120mins treatment if you have a specific problem, this will enable you to have a thorough treatment.

WILL MY TREATMENT BE PAINFUL

Every technique is different, requiring different massage strokes, the pressure is applied differently from different therapist, we try to work on a scale of 1-10, and work within the pain scale of 6/10, being a nice pain.

We think that anything above being a nice pain or over the scale of 6/10 could leave you in pain for the next couple of days.

We do advise that you tell the therapist whether the pressure is too hard or too soft as pressure can always be adjusted

We feel that working within the pain scale, will help the muscles relax better during your treatment. by doing this will avoid the muscles from tensing when massaging tense muscle can cause more damage and pain to the muscle.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A TREATMENT

We advise that you should have some treatment rather than having none. This varies from person to person, injuries, stress levels, lifestyle and types of treatment.

We do advised that you should not have a treatment within the 3 day after the initial treatment.
